METALLURGICAL MODELS
Transmitted light microscopes shine light up through slide-mounted, translucent specimens from below. When you want to see surface features or specimens that are not translucent (such as minerals, ceramics, needles, catheters, integrated circuits, etc.) at high magnifications, you'll need an reflected light (metallurgical) compound microscope that shines light down through the objectives onto the surface of the specimen. Meiji offers five models of metallurgical microscopes for industrial and educational use based on their new Infinity Optical System (ICOS). The two lines of ICOS metallurgical microscopes with nine models including the MT7000, MT7500, MT8000, MT8500 and inverted metallograph IM7000.

MEIJI MT8500 BF/DF Metallurgical
The new MT8500 Series has the same incident/transmitted illumination system as the MT8000 Series but with 30W halogen transmitted illumination and 50W Incident illumination. It is also capable of both brightfield and darkfield observation.

MEIJI MT8000 Brightfield Metallurgical
The new MT8000 Series can be used for a wide range of applications because it uses both incident and transmitted brightfield illumination. Each model has a ceramic coated stage, full Koehler 30W halogen illumination and an attacahable mechanical stage with drop down controls.

MEIJI MT7500 BF/DF Metallurgical
The new MT7500 Series is an incident light only microscope that can be used to view specimens in either brightfield or darkfield illumination modes. Each model has a ceramic coated stage, full Koehler 50W halogen illumination and an attachable mechanical stage with drop down controls.

MEIJI IM7000 Inverted Metallograph
The IM7000 Series Inverted Metallograph can be used for a wide range of metallurgical applications because it uses incident brightfield epi-illumination. Each model has 30mm FN22 eyepieces, integrated front camera port, all new and improved infinity corrected optics, full Koehler 30W halogen illumination and a mechanical stage with with drop down controls. A second camera port can be added with a trinocular head.

Polarizing microscopes are extremely useful for specialized medical and industrial applications, such as identifying crystals or fibers suspended in liquid, identifying minerals in core samples and detecting defects in semiconductors or finding stress points in metal, glass and other materials. Designed for slide mounted specimens or thin sections as well as opaque objects and substrates with polarized illumination through the objectives.The new MT design with 30 watt incident and 30 watt transmitted illumination. RZ SERIES STEREOZOOM RESEARCH MODELS
RZ Series CMO Stereo Microscopes are advanced, high-performance, modular, stereo microscopes engineered around a common main objective and parallel optical paths. The RZ series can be configured to the needs of biomedical and industrial applications due to its advanced infinity corrected optics and modular design.

MEIJI RZ Research StereoZoom
Tthe RZ Series offers crisp, distortion-free, high-resolution images at magnifications ranging from 3.75x to 300x. The RZ features a 10:1 zoom ratio with built-in variable dual-iris diaphragms and 12 positive click stops through the zoom range. Available with coaxial illumination for metallurgical applications.

EM SERIES STEREOZOOM MODELS
The ‘workhorse’ models of industry. The EM stereozoom microscopes give the viewer an "erect" (upright and un-reversed) stereoscopic (3-dimensional) image. This is particularly useful for biologists performing dissections, technicians repairing circuit boards, paleontologists cleaning and examining fossils or anyone who needs to work on small objects.
